The Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, located in Emigrant County, Montana, sits on more than 17,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness in central Yellowstone Country. The property starts near the Yellowstone River, on the floor in the appropriately-named Paradise Valley. It continues upward through grassy foothills, meadows full of sagebrush, thicke pine forests, stands of aspen, and finally reaches the vast Gallatin National Forest at its back door. The property is 4.5 miles wide and the rushing waters of Big Creek, which are full of trout, run through it. You can enjoy a dinner ride on the ranch pavilion or a gourmet dinner in the dining area. Although many of the cabins are from the ranch’s early days in the 1920s they have been carefully restored and refurbished to provide luxurious comfort in rustic surroundings. You can choose from cabins that have stone fireplaces, picture windows offering stunning views, or sound of a stream outside the window.
Big Horn is a modern three bedroom cabin with a king-sized bedroom and two twin-sized bedrooms in the second bedroom. The third bedroom has a queen-sized bed and there are two bathrooms. The separate living room features a pull-out couch bed and a stone fireplace. You can choose from a variety delicious breakfast and lunch buffets. Dinners are three to five-course, plated meals. You can choose from a variety of entrees such as beef tenderloin, Chilean Sea Bass, and truffled Portabella pasta.
Enjoy a morning hike, or a yoga class to energize your body. You can also watch the horse wranglers pull the horses down the mountainside. After a delicious breakfast buffet, you can ride on horseback through beautiful meadows and stroll along Big Creek. The afternoon is spent rafting down Yellowstone River or fly fishing in mountain streams. The Mountain Sky Wellness Center offers scheduled massages and yoga classes. There is also a heated outdoor pool and cedar sauna, steam area, outdoor hot tub, and grotto. After a hard day’s work, start your day with a yoga session. Or, relax with a soothing massage in the grotto.

This location is a great place to visit for all ages and interests, as it is located in the Rocky Mountains. A Park tour is highly recommended to see the wonders of nature.
