The small bungalow in Atlanta is just over 1,000 square foot (93 square meters). It has been completely renovated. The remodel was completed by Historical Concepts, a traditional architecture firm that is dedicated “to capturing the spirit of past while fully embracing present.”
The new interior features salvaged materials, period-appropriate details and pays homage to the home’s 1910 origins. The original pine beams have been repurposed into a kitchen countertop! See every beautiful nook and cranny of the entire photo tour below.
The crown molding was custom-milled to match original woodwork. Traditional furniture with a modern colour palette makes the space feel timeless and updated.
The new kitchen has an updated farmhouse feel, with polished nickel lighting and white cabinets. It also features a moss-green island. The salvaged wooden countertop was coated with polyurethane, which is durable.
This space is cozy and bright thanks to the black granite counter tops. The classic subway tiles and well-placed lights make it so. This is the perfect place to cook a delicious meal for family and friends.
The bathroom is luxurious and traditional with a granite countertop and custom vanity. The angled wall sconces add an unexpected element.
You can see from this angle that the bathroom also doubles as a laundromat. The space is kept tidy with a washer and dryer that fit perfectly in a closet.
The fireplace in the master bedroom is original and adds a charm that cannot be replicated. The room is a relaxing haven with calming blue paint.
