  • 3 min read

Suzanne from One Girl Interiors had always wished to own a small cottage in the country. She is now able to do so. She and her husband bought and renovated a Victorian cottage, and named it The Weekender. The house is located in Daylesford in Victoria, Australia.
Suzanne calls the home her pride-and- joy and now offers it for rent as a vacation rental. You’ll find a relaxing getaway with designer style inside. Every detail was hand-picked with love, from the stylish furniture to the colorful artworks and accessories. Below is a tour of the entire house.

Bright and airy, the living room features white walls and high ceilings. To highlight the high ceilings, the curtains are hung higher than the window frame. The space can flow well with sleek, low furniture.
This bedroom features subtle patterned wallpapers and layers of cozy fabrics. A bed with abstract art in colorful colors is an added bonus.
The eat-in kitchen is casual and elegant with a farmhouse table, black cafe chairs, and a wooden bench. The room feels light and airy thanks to the open shelf and the navy blue cabinets.
Bright windows and French doors provide wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The floors of wood are painted white throughout.
The nook is mostly neutral, but it has fun pops of color with accessories and books. The space is enriched with green potted plants that add life and freshness.
The simple decor and soothing gray walls make this bedroom feel calm. The space is not overwhelmed by the softness and color of the bedding.
Relax in the bathroom, which is another great place to unwind. A freestanding tub makes the focal point, while a geometrically designed white wall tile complements the dark floor tile.
