The Mystic Mountain is a delightful tiny home cottage located in the beauty of Alaska. With a 400 square feet interior and a large patio deck on the outside, this is a great retreat and inspiration for your own tiny home build.

The coziness of this tiny home is part of the appeal. Setup on a lot in the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness, it is welcoming both inside and out. I adore the porch addition, and it showcases just how you can take a small space and make it feel larger.

When you step inside the Mystic Mountain cottage, an open floor plan greets you. A kitchen on the left and a sleeper sofa on the right create the main living space with the [private bedroom at the back of the home.

There is even a corner nook perfect for a dining table. These 8′ tall windows let in tons of natural light, and make it perfect for your morning cup of coffee.

Often in tiny houses, you find the kitchen is underwhelming or lacking. This home has almost everything you would want, in a tiny place, with a modern look.

While there is no oven, there is a 4-burner cooktop and room to use a countertop convection oven if desired.

In the image below, you can also see the closet laundry units. While this is handy as a rental space, it can also be a great source of inspiration for you in your own tiny home build.

At the back of the home is the bedroom. It’s rare to find a main floor bedroom in a tiny house, so this is a huge bonus space. I love the open look and the fact that while it has a wall and door, one side of the wall doesn’t go all the way to the ceiling. So, it has a bit of an open feeling.

The bathroom for this tiny home is just off the bedroom and while small is cozy and has everything you need.

The pedestal sink takes up less space than most cabinet styles, and the toilet on the side wall is out of the way but still convenient.

The bathroom doesn’t have a ton of storage, and no cabinets, but there are two floating shelves above the toilet to hold towels. I can see a simple above toilet cabinet here also if you preferred.

My own personal favorite part of this bathroom is the shower. Not only does it have gorgeous custom tile walls and accents, but it has a super unique porthole window! What a fun addition to the space!
